Gemsbok are beautiful animals with long straight horns that look act like large daggers on their head. With their white striped faces one might think they’re easy to see in the bushveld. But that would be wrong….these elusive animals are known for their cunning ability to quickly disappear from those hunting them. Crowning them the name “bush ninja”.
Gemsbok are known for large groups and great vision. If spooked they dart and are often not found again, hence the name bush ninja. When stalking these long saber horned animals it is important to walk quietly behind your ph and tracker and be prepared to make a great shot on these hardy animals.
